The Country Builder

For those living on rural properties it can sometimes be a daunting task to get a tradesman to come out and quote a job, let alone actually get work done. Living in the big, old family farmhouse doesn’t mean you have to live like Nanna did with the toilet and laundry out the back.

Richard has done some amazing renovations to farm properties, some within the existing walls and some with additions to the house. It may seem like too much of an upset to the family to consider removing an entire bathroom and going without while the new space is built but we can work with you to make it happen. In some cases we have renovated in stages, like adding a toilet and shower to the laundry (great for dirty workers). Once this is complete the main bathroom can be done.

Rural home owners are no strangers to dirt either, but that doesn’t mean your house needs to become a warzone while changes are being made. We use temporary partitions and dust extraction systems to minimise mess. Sometimes an extension can be almost entirely built before the wall is cut between old and new.

We can source the most traditional fittings and fixtures too. One renovation comes to mind where 300mm high cedar skirtings and door architraves were needed to restore the classic look in a building in Lincoln that was being converted into a medical clinic. Fireplaces were refitted with timber surrounds and mantles. These elements, paired with the owner’s selections of brass handles and polished floors left us with a finished space that was truly amazing.

So whether you know what you want done to your family home or need some ideas, or want to update to a modern look or renovate with your history, you can give us a call or email and we can work with you to refresh your home.
